Me Made May {Week 3}

Oh, deary me! I nearly neglected this week's me-made summary!

Here are Momma & me on Mother's day. I'm wearing my birthday dress from last year. {With newly thrifted $2 vintage heels!}

Cap sleeved top from Debbie Bliss Beach Belles booklet

Vintage border print sheet skirt {new make} & knit Simple Vest from Debbie Bliss Amalfi booklet.

The Sunshine Frock! Dottie Angel {Simplicity 1080} made from vintage fabric which my Mema gave me.

Potty over Beatrix Potter Dress
{New make}
But you know all about it already.πŸ˜‰
{Or see previous post if you do not.}

Another Dottie Angel frock! This one is made of fine wale corduroy with pretty pink roses from Hobby Lobby. With the trusty wellies on a rainy day!

Cable & blackberry tank from Debbie Bliss Fez book.

I can't believe I've made it this far without a repeat yet! Maybe I will make it. {But if I don't & have to do an outfit repeat that's ok too.} πŸ˜‰

Potty over Beatrix Potter Dress

I've made a lot of quirky & kitschy dresses in my time. But this one may be my favorite  {or should I say favourite?} 😊 The prettiest of pastels...and all of our beloved characters from the imagination & paintbrush of Miss Potter.

My sweet sister Kelsey recently got this vintage Peter Rabbit doll for me at a garage sale! 😍 Isn't he the sweetest? And in this pic you can see a closer look at the skirt fabric of my dress.

Photos of me taken by my wee leetle rabbit Abbey. πŸ’•πŸ°πŸ‘―

I know what I'll be wearing on July 28th! πŸ˜‰

Me Made May {Week 2}

Here are this week's me-made outfits!

Record player print dress

Boatneck sweater with Bow from Debbie Bliss' Beach Belles booklet

La Robe de Macaron πŸ’•

Hey doll! Matroyskaprint dress.
This is the only new make this week.

Pastel Victory Jumper

Nautical vintage blouse

Beachy striped dress

I'm starting to run out of me-made things now! I'm hoping to be able to make it the whole month without repeating anything. I better get crackin'! πŸ˜‰ This week was pretty busy so I was only able to make one dress. Hopefully next week will be more productive. 😊

Me Made May {Week 1}

This merry month of May I'm joining in with oodles of other makers in wearing something I've made every day for Me Made May. {#mmmay17} It's been lots of fun so far! Here are the outfits I wore this week {except for Monday, the 1st because I cheated that day & stayed in sweatpants & a Shopkins t-shirt because I didn't decide to join in the me-made merriment until after I'd gotten dressed for the day. And I was far too comfortable to change. πŸ˜†}

Tuesday was this groovy remake of a 60s housedress.

Wednesday was a cabled cardi from Debbie Bliss' Land Girl booklet.

Thursday was a pastel Parisian Print frock. These lovely fabric were Waverly Inspirations from Walmart.

Friday was a pinafore made from some lovely vintage fabric remnants.

And today {Saturday} is a Fairisle yoke sweater also from the Debbie Bliss Land Girl booklet.

Thursday & Friday's looks were both made the day before they were worn so this little challenge is definitely helping my sewing game. {And helping me work through my stash which is always a very good thing. πŸ˜‰}

I can hardly wait to decide what to wear & make next week!

What are you working on?

My aqua obsession

I'm sure everyone has that amazing vintage truck or car that they're in love with. You know that one that sits parked permanently somewhere & you practically give yourself a strained neck ogling it every time you drive past in your lame, non-vintage, but sensible vehicle. {Or is that just me?}

Well, this awesome aqua truck is my dreamboat! While my {brave} friend Kat & I were galavanting around with her camera I mentioned my obession with love for the fabulous Ford. She screeched to a halt when I pointed it out & pulled in. She & I marched up to the open shop door of the assumed owner. {Though I may have been sheepishly trailing a step or two behind her being of a more shy nature.πŸ˜†} We asked permission to take pics by the vintage vehicle {slightly shouting to make up for the fact that they were wearing earplugs for their work} & they had no problem with it. They probably thought we were nuts, but oh well. πŸ˜‰ I've gotten a bit used to that.

My outfit matched just too perfectly!
I made my dress from a vintage sheet which I purchased from The Lavender Housewife. My aqua Hunter wellies were a Christmas gift from Momma & Dad. {Pro tip: If you wear women's size 7 1/2 shoe you can fit into the kids size 5 Hunter wellies!}

Well now, you know you have an obession with a color when you have a sewing machine that color. πŸ˜† I think Astrid rather enjoyed stitching up this frock. πŸ˜‰

Needless to say I was so excited that smiling was not a problem at all for these pics.

The only thing that could've made this experience better was if they had told me to just go ahead & take the truck home with me. πŸ˜‰ Hey, I can dream can't I?!

And dream I do.

This post is the last of my wonderful Kat photos so far. But never fear we have plans. Let's just say they involve my nieces.  *dances like a dork with excitement*

I plan to take part in Me Made May {#mmmay} this lovely month as well so that should provide plenty of fodder for my crafty shenanigans.
